Do shoppers need to download an app?

No. Gonow Play is a Progressive Web App — players just open a link in their phone's browser. No app store, no downloads, no friction.

How does the AI scoring work?

Players photograph products in-store. Our AI compares their photo to the reference image and assigns a likeness score from 0–100%. If they hit the pass threshold, they earn points. It takes seconds.

We've built multiple anti-cheat layers: the AI detects screenshots, digitally altered images, and photos taken from screens. Combined with EXIF metadata checks, it's very hard to game the system.

How long does it take to set up a hunt?

Minutes. Upload your product images, set the rules, and publish. No technical skills required.

Can each store in my centre have their own promotions?

Yes — in upcoming phases, tenants will get their own portal to feature products. For now, you can include any store's products in your hunts.

Is it GDPR compliant?

Yes. We use Google sign-in and email/password authentication, store minimal personal data, and are fully GDPR compliant. Players can delete their data at any time.

What languages are supported?

Gonow Play supports multiple languages. We can add your centre's local languages on request.

This Privacy Policy describes how GoNow Productions ("we", "us", or "our"), registered as an Autónomo business in Spain and owned by Jason Leven, collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Gonow Play service (the "Service"), available at gonowplay.com.

5. Photos You Submit

Photos you submit during gameplay are processed by our AI verification system to check whether they match the target product image. Submitted photos may be temporarily stored for quality assurance and anti-fraud purposes. We do not use your submitted photos for any purpose unrelated to the verification of your game submissions.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service, including:

Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure (data stored in EU region)
Google — authentication (if you use Google Sign-In)
Google Gemini — AI image verification processing
Vercel — web application hosting
Resend — transactional email delivery

All third-party providers are contractually bound to process data only on our instructions and in compliance with applicable data protection law.

Sharing with Game Operators (Venues)

When you participate in a game hosted by a shopping centre or venue, personal data you have provided — including your name, email address, game results, and any additional information you choose to supply — may be shared with the operator of that venue for the purposes of prize fulfilment and game administration.

Where you have given your consent to receive marketing communications, venue operators may also use your contact details to keep you informed about future games, promotions, and events at their location. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting the venue operator directly or by emailing us at info@gonowproductions.com.

Each venue operator acts as an independent data controller in respect of their own use of your data and is solely responsible for ensuring their processing complies with applicable data protection law, including the GDPR. Operators are bound by data processing agreements with us and may not use your data for any purpose beyond those for which you have given consent.

We may also disclose data where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GoNow Productions, our users, or others.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. prize claim records).

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
